Privacy Policy
Updated October 30, 2026.
Hart is a workout log for iPhone. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Hart is made by Leonid Lypovyk. For anything about your data, write to support@gethart.app.
What we collect
- Account: your Sign in with Apple identifier. We don't keep your email address.
- Profile: the name friends see in your group, your avatar and language, and your sex, bodyweight and birth year if you enter them.
- Workouts: exercises, weight, reps, sets, records, ranks and XP.
- Groups: the group name, its members and "Seen it" confirmations of records.
- Usage: in-app events such as "set logged" or "workout finished", so we know what works.
We don't keep audio. Apple recognises your speech, and we only receive the text of the phrase, which we turn into sets. That text is not stored.
Why
- to log workouts, compute ranks and show your progress;
- to run groups and boards;
- to improve the app from event statistics.
The legal basis is performing our agreement with you (the app can't work without this data) and our legitimate interest in improving Hart.
Who else processes data
- Hetzner Online GmbH — server and database (Helsinki, Finland).
- Anthropic — when our rules aren't sure about a phrase, its text, without your details, goes to the Claude model to work out the sets.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and speech recognition.
We don't sell data and we don't show ads.
Who sees what
Only you see your bodyweight, sex and birth year. Members of your groups see your name, avatar, XP, records and ranks.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Deleting the account erases all data at once, except database backups, which are made daily and kept for no more than 14 days.
Your rights
You can get a copy of your data, correct it or delete it. Delete your account in the app: Profile → settings → "Delete account". For anything else, write to support@gethart.app. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Hart is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
We'll tell you about significant changes in the app. The date at the top shows the latest version.
